Worship Ministry

The worship arts ministry at the Rock is designed to use music, drama, and other creative elements to connect people into deeper and more intimate prayer. We use modern music, video presentations, various singing performance groups, and more in our church services to help connect people with God.

The Rock believes that worship involves every aspect of our lives. While singing is a form of worship, it is not the only way we worship. In fact, Romans 12:1 tells us to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, wholly and devoted to God. We believe that worship is anything we do to bring glory to God. We worship by serving, by abstaining from sin, by giving, by reading His Word, and anything else that would be according to what God would have for us. Worship is about a lifestyle!

GET INVOLVED:

We are always looking for skilled instrumentalists to be a part our worship team – background vocalists, acoustic guitarists, pianoists and keyboardist, electric guitarists, bass players, and drummers. We also value diversity of instrumental arrangements too, so if you play any colour instrument – violin/viola, cello, double bass, flute, trumpet, saxophone, oboe, clarinet, penny whistle, percussion (djembe, conga, bodhran, shakers, tambourine, rain stick), didjeridoo, sitar, DJ console, or anything else, we’d love to put you to use on one of our teams.

Download The Rock’s worship arts manual, fill out the application, and turn it in to the church office during the week or info booth on Sundays!
