Giving $100 a month like we used to was a challenge in itself; seemed we would always have month left over at the end of the money. So when we started this challenge and increased our giving more than threefold, we had to put our faith in God! Amazingly, we always have almost exactly what we need every month and are happier as a family than we ever have been.

Well, once again, God cannot be outgiven. We decided to give to God a portion of the money that we had saved to pay our property taxes due in April. We could either pay half in Feb and half in June or all in April. We decided to pay half and give the other half to missions and then to trust God to bring in the other half before June when we needed it. Well, we got a call from our Mortgage company (they called us...several times) and finally when we called back they said that the loan we have could be streamlines so we would not even have to fill out much paperwork, just sign a couple of docs and send in and they'd verify employment and we would go down a whole point on our interest rate to the lowest we will probably ever see. Not only will we save over $30,000 for the term of the loan, but won't have to make a payment in April that will cover the rest of our property tax payment and then some. Wow! Cannot believe how often things like this happen. God is beyond generous to us over and over again. My cup overflows.

Tracey Berech 3/1/12
My giving is always strictly monitored by my unsaved husband, Bill. (Pray for an open heart!). He does not believe with me that God will reward us. I've been praying about him understanding the importance of the Christians in the US living in such abundance to help take care of those in poverty. When I went home and told him my heart feels really strongly about these children abducted into slavery, and I truly want to be a part of the challenge for that reason, he didn't say much. I told him I would give my clothing budget for 3 months. The next day a rebate check came from Costco and he tossed it on the table and said I could join the challenge. The Lord is so faithful!!!

We have tried very hard to for the last 30 years and have been ..pretty consistance, until the past 3 years, Bob was injured, had surgery, surgery failed, couldn" return to his job. So he had to wait to take retirement
early. We lost our home, God found us a better home
to rent. Were there for 21/2 years and the owner wanted it back. By then we had gotten SS Disability
and were able to give as we used to! It was the best feeling ever. Not to mention that God found us an even better house. We're still waiting to see if we'll be
able to buy this one, but we know the Lord has blessed
us the whole way. Dont; want to do it all again but wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

Since becoming a Christian 38 years ago, I have tithed more than 10% and have given additional offerings as God has led. It seems however, that God is always stretching me in the area of giving and giving sacrificially. As Bruce said Sunday......Christianity was born out of sacrifice and so if we follow Christ with open hearts, He will always challenge us to give more of our heart, our time and our resources so that He can live His life through us for others. I consider it an honor to share in the cross in this way.

Thanks Bruce, for your obedience to Christ in presenting this challenge. I needed it!

I have struggled for a very long time with tithing. I am not sure why, I guess I have always wondered why going to church always had to be about money. So, unfortunately to say, this challenge was very difficult for me. Two weeks ago, I started being "generous" in other ways, rather buying a cup of coffee for a stranger, or giving a hand out to a homeless person. Last week, I started my first donation of a amount larger then I ever gave in my life. I followed it up again this week. Pastor Bruce....Thank-you from the bottom of my soul, for helping me to overcome a struggle so materialistic. The blessings have already began to come for me!! Thank-you Pastor Bruce, you are one of my blessings!!

I am looking forward to this challenge over the next 90 days. I want to not only invest God's resources into His Kingdom but also do it with specific intent by praying over every daily increment everyday.

Just making the choice to increase our tithe has already begun to bring some peace to me. I've been desiring (buy not putting into action) for a long time to become more generous with my finances. I think it would be cool to one day double our Tithe. Particularly since I feel doubly blessed. Since I struggle in the area of generosity, there is some freedom that I'm feeling with this commitment. My prayer is that this will propel my heart toward other acts of kindness.
